The Orsini Viper

Attention to detail, functionality and a French flair.

It’s fair to say that Motorcycle Design Director – Jeremy Tagand, has spent a fair chunk of time by anyone’s standards honing his visceral understanding and innate sense of all things custom in the Deus House of Simple Pleasures.

Recently an opportunity presented itself for Jeremy to return to his birthplace and apply all that he has learnt to a uniquely French interpretation of a 2016 Kawasaki W800.

The Orsini Viper.

The machine is a collaboration with Ben Marigot of Deus Ex Machina France, built in Technic Moto Annecy, France – a work shop very close to Jeremy’s heart and where he in fact served his apprenticeship under the tutelage of his God Father Pierre Briane and business partner Patrick Long. Both associates of the respected tuning house Brothers Godier Genoux.

The brief called for a street/dirt track appeal, a ride that would be at home on city streets as well as the glorious alpine roads of the Pyrenees. Custom components chosen include, tall bars, a Bates style headlight, Posh indicators, and Daytona LED speedo and tacho. Karoo 3 Metzelers keep the W well in touch when pushed, and work beautifully with custom Ikon rear alloy body shock units with slightly longer travel. Custom front springs and preload adjusters were chosen to offer a range of suspension settings. Brushed alloy fenders are employed with the rear housing a circular LED taillight. The stock air box was discarded for K&N air filters to sit proudly supplying alpine air to the throttle bodies. Custom 2 in 1 stainless headers purge gasses via a reverse cone muffler, all of which is coated in high temp ceramic black satin.

The dark pearl green with cream coloured Deus logos is the careful work of Christophe Boutin of Boutin’s Design and the surf/snowboards rack a signature addition from Jeremy. Add a Power Commander from Dynojet, and a dyno tune from VN Racing and the Orsini W800 Viper is more than ready to slither on road or track.

The Orsini W800 Viper was a special build for Jeremy, and an offering to those that nurtured and supported his passion for custom motorcycles.
