BAJA CALIFORNIA

Posted 1 year ago by Deus America

Southern California with all it’s glitz and glamour.

Plastic surgery and reality television shows are a far cry from Baja California, Mexico.

In a matter a minutes and a drive across the border, multi million dollar homes turn into makeshift tin shacks that line the Tijuana border. The “it’s 70% done and good enough” is the building code to go by.

The beauty here in Baja is not in a city of modernity, but rather the passion of the people to create with what they have.  The heart of Baja is far beyond the Tijuana border where it is nothing but vast emptiness.

A 1,200 mile stretch of coastline that was never paved over, nor built upon or exploited.

1,200 miles of Pacific coastline with waves and desert to be discovered by those tough and ambitious enough to try. This is what brings this crew here.

Micah, Forrest, West and Kyle – in search of solitude that can only be found hundreds of miles from the nearest wifi signal. They load up the motorcycles, surfboards, a couple tents and beverages and take the first dirt road south to see where it ends.
