BIKE BUILD OFF 2019 – MILANO

Posted 2 years ago by Deus Italy

The Bike Build Off was born to showcase the craftwork of builders who could make something great from nothing, a competition of ingenuity and creativity to create “the most with the least”.

Previously confined to countries with Deus Temples’, this year’s Bike Build Off has spread its infectious enthusiasm of two-wheel ingenuity to all parts of the world, with an online global contest, with participants from over 35 countries.
Entries are still open, so if you have a build – submit it at www.bikebuildoff.com

But, The Bike Build Off is a contest which rewards those who get hands dirty and we want to see those dirty hands and their hard work in person, so we held some small celebration events in our local Deus neighbourhoods and invited the local builders along for a day of fun.

In Milan, we had around twenty builders show up accompanied by their projects, an eclectic mix of shining cafe racers to rusty, crusty pieces of metal.
When the bikes all lined up in a row, you see the beauty of this competition. Every bike with its very own soul, every one so unique, you could see the enthusiasm and hard work that went into each build- the stuff that keeps customizers working on their bike late into the night.

As special guests, the Vibrazioni Art Design team came along, showing off their last two-wheels project – Piaggio Si customized that took part in the Red Bull Epic Rise.
Last but not least, the great Dino Romano introduced to the public his record-breaking machine, Christina, which is going to take part in the speed week in Utah soon.

We gave red bolts to everyone in the crowd – not roses. That’s how the public voted for their favorite bike of the day. At the end of it all, the ‘Beep Beep’ bike was the people’s choice.
No need to describe it, you’re going to recognize it in the gallery.

We want to say thank you to all the customizer that took part in this event and all their supporters.

Online entries into the GLOBAL ONLINE COMPETITION CLOSE 31sT JULY – ENTER AT BIKEBUILDOFF.COM (include your build story, info and photos of the bike)

The winner takes home 2 return flights to any Deus Temple in the world!

Take a look at the submissions so far and sit back to see who’s gonna be the winner!

Stay tuned.

Stay tuned
