I love the way this event feels because I love Porsches and I love consonants. And they’ve got plenty of both.—Jerry Seinfeld, LUFTBOOK pg.162
On Sunday May 7th, the skyline of cranes and shipping containers of the iconic Port Of Los Angeles became the mise en scène for a multitude of hundreds of air-cooled Porsches at the fourth edition of Patrick Long and Howie Idelson’s Luftgekühlt held at Municipal Warehouse No. 9 and 10 in San Pedro, California.
The cars and people attending this year’s gathering was simply jaw dropping. From historical heroes like the legendary 1,100+hp 917 raced by Mark Donohue to well-loved crusty daily drivers, the cars and personalities who make this air-cooled fervor a shining beacon of light were all present and each and every one contributed to this joyous celebration.
