The Deus Emporium is proud to present two new boards that are now available for sale in the Venice, California retail flagship: The Shooter and The Bastard Fish by Forrest Minchinton Custom Boards, handmade in California.
THE SHOOTER
Black 6'8 single fin
A 70's design from a tried-and-true template from Mike Minchinton (Forrest's dad) brought back to life with modern rails, foil, rocker and functionality made with good waves in mind. A fun ride on even an average day, this board will excel in hollow waves.
The sleek black opaque resin is finished off with a super fine gloss and polish and a custom one-off wooden tail block and matching fin to contrast the pitch-black design.
THE BASTARD FISH
Cream 5'5 twin fin
This model was coined "Bastard Fish" after a recent trip to Deus Indonesia with Harrison Roach, Zye Norris, and Lewie Buddons. With a nose template inspired by legendary shaper Rich Pavel, and a tail modeled after a high performance fish of my own and the rails, foil and bottom contours focused on going very fast. The board worked so amazingly that everyone tried to claim it as their own, excelling in everything from small waves to serious barrels. This particular board features 3 apple core stringers which end at the swallow tail tips and one at the nose for strength and durability. A subtle cream tint and glass on single foil, poppler wood, performance keel twin fins.
