Born in New Caledonia, Tom Morat took his first steps on a homemade surfboard over the coral reef breaks dotting the surrounding lagoon. Half French, half Australian, he arrived in Oz to start high school and quickly lost his French accent. At 15 he asked Doc if he could do work experience at Thomas Surfboards. He’s shaped boards ever since.
